From my home to yours I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I am cooking at home this year and am in total holiday spirirt. I have not cooked a Thanksgiving Dinner in 10 years. The smell of Roasted Turkey is filling my home. The meal today is: Roasted Turkey, Cranberry Mousse, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Bacon & Brown Sugar Topped Sweet Potato Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, Crescent Dinner rolls and Strawberry Cheesecake ( I know but….My Love begged me!). I am taking a moment from preparations to sit an enjoy a glass of wine and think of all the thinks I am thankful for!!! I will not bore you with the list ūüôā

Have beautiful holiday!

I am currently creating in the kitchen. It is snowy, windy and cold today. Looking for some comfort food but want it to be healthy. I am experimenting with a corn and black bean salsa, chicken and brown rice. Will know in an hour if it is something that could be deemed eatable.

Just made an Iced Moroccan Mint Tea sweetened with Honey Beads. anxiously awaiting it to cool.

Update: My dinner last night turned out amazing. I followed Alton Brown’s Baked Brown Rice Recipe¬†¬†I LOVE this rice. As soon as My Love saw the final dish he asked me if I thought I was Chipotle. This made me laugh as I do love their rice bowls and I always get their brown rice , black beans and pork but this was a close 2nd. I will¬†definitely¬†¬†make this in the future. I would at a bit more of the salsa next time. I will post the recipe soon as I enjoyed it so much that I want to share.

I want to thank Anneli of¬†¬†for nominating me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. I started this blog in July of 2013 and never expected that others would be that interested in what I am doing. ¬†If your looking for ways to maintain a healthy outlook on life like I am than you must spend some time on Anneli’s blog. I nominate the following women and their blogs:

These are in no particular order and I invite you to check out their blogs for yourself.

I finished the Piggy Bag on Monday. Today I gave it to the intended recipient. She loves it. She started using it immediately. I am posting a picture of her with the bag on Sewing Projects. Ironically, she had two gifts for me. They are sewing related and I will post pictures soon (likely tomorrow). I am so excited over these gifts.

My job is renovating…the construction crew let us help take a wall down today. It was AWESOME!

I decided I want to try Yoga by the end of the year. This center is not far from me. They also have seminars….a couple in December have peaked my interest.

I have been a creating maniac this weekend. ONLY two more days left to complete this project. As it stands now the bag is 17 inches wide by 32 inches long   Originally I planned on making a flap closure with one handle. Now I am not so sure and uncertain how many handles I want for it and should I do the flap or not….guess only time will tell. Decisions, Decisions…..
I am taking a break from sewing for the rest of this evening. Still continue after dinner tomorrow evening!

Today I have been a little busy. Most of the laundry is done, making great strides with the Piggy Bag, decided I wanted to bake and dinner is in the oven. Happy with the way today is going! Hope your enjoying your day too.

I was so excited to get this month’s box. ¬†I opened it to find:

Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm

Color Club On The Rocks Nail Polish

Juicy Couture Viva LA Juicy Noir

Beauty Protector & Shampoo

Beauty Protect & Condition

Ghirardelli Toffee Crunch Bar

I do have to tell you that my favorite item is the Dr. Jart+ BB. I am not a big makeup girl. This product is right up my alley. Gives me just a touch of color so it looks like I have foundation on without having any on. I was not a fan of the perfume but found a friend who is thankful for the sample.I have tried both the shampoo and the conditioner and am happy with the results. Though not happy enough to purchase the full size. The nail polish is silver in color. I do not have a great need for this color polish so I passed it on to someone who will be using it more than I ever would. I am glad that I signed up for this subscription box.
