I have been rather busy of late.

This fall some friends turned me on to the show Dexter and all I can say is how much My Love and I have enjoyed this series. We have just finished season 7. It is kinda sad as we will be starting the last season shortly. Its totally okay to be obsessed with a serial killer right!? This shirt was a Christmas gift from one of my friends….LOVING  IT!

!I became completely obsessed with crocheting. All of a sudden I noticed I had a stash of infinity scarves and cowls. Of which I would never wear. So I contacted a local organization and donated the mentioned items in addition to a couple pair of fingerless mittens and hats. It felt amazing to be able to help in this small way.

I finally found the time and opportunity to try Yoga. It was a-w-e-s-o-m-e. I now want to incorporate it into my life. I am so looking forward to taking a workshop on Saturday. I have purchased my first mat and am looking forward to finding and enhancing my inner light. I am so thankful when I can shop/spend  with local small business. This studio just celebrated their 1st year in business. I would totally recommend them to anyone that asks: I was able to attend some of their Winter Solstice Celebration. It was a definite learning and educating experience. I learned that I am not interested in kirtan. I am however more interested in Vinyasa Flow.

In November we celebrated our 20th Anniversary. We went on a road trip to We had an great time. It was so much fun exploring and letting the kid in ourselves out.

I am looking forward to what the future holds and all the new and fun experiences ahead of me. Speaking of which I was very fortunate this holiday season to have received gifts that feed my creative side. A friend gave me the gift of learning by giving me a book, yarn and a handitool so that I can learn to knit. How much fun is that going to be.

Recently I came to the realization that I miss how I use to read and write poetry. Well I am intending on changing that and will be sharing here when the mood strikes me. On that note:

Fire and Ice by Robert Frost:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
It is my goal to blog at least once a month….hopefully more but if not that is okay by me. I finally feel like I am living life!! it feels great!

I thought I would share this with you. I will be back in 2015!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 960 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 16 trips to carry that many people.

Wow it has been awhile since I last blogged. See I developed a very bad case of Crochet Addiction. I have been crocheting daily. Actually more like ever chance I got. Well thanks to My Love I am seeing once again that there is life out there….lol

A couple weeks ago I went to my “unplugging” place. I have a friend who has a home/farm that gets no cell coverage. I do not take any other electronic devices. She owns no tv. It is my peaceful place to just be.

How can one not feel peace here:

Farm Hand

I am hoping to get my s*** together soon and get some pictures posted of what I have made lately.
Be good to your self!!

Crochet Progress

I started working on my hdc. This project is using both hdc and sc

7.5.14 Update: I frogged this last night. It was a practice piece and the more I looked at it and worked on it the more I realize I do not like hdc at this time. I have moved on to another stitch.

Crocheted Infinity Scarf

Here is the scarf that i made myself. I deemed it my birthday present to myself as I completed 2 days before my birthday!

On Sunday I started Fingerless Mitten #2. I completed it at my crochet group on Wednesday. I made some modification to it. I noted that #1 was much longer and wider than I liked.. Now I am considering making Fingerless Mitten #3 as I did #2 and finding another use for #1. A couple ideas  I have been given for #1 is turn it into a puppet or a headband. As has become typical for me only time will tell what it becomes.

At my group this week I was taught how to do a hdc, dc, and tc. I have decided to focus for the next little while on hdc. I will work on it for the next few days and have decided that the project for that stitch will be a scarf. Anyone noticing a pattern when i learn a new stitch. And to think 6 months ago I was not a scarf person!

Fingerless Mittens

I have finished one of the mittens. I think it is a bit too long. Seeing I followed a pattern very loosely I think it is fabulous! I can not believe how quickly I had completed this. I had done 2 rows on 6.17…worked on it all day 6.18 and finished it in under an hour today

My Birthday Cake

My Love baked me a cake. It was Devil’s Food with cream Cheese Frosting! This is the first time he has EVER baked in the 21 years we have been together

Today is the beginning of my Birthday Week! My Love and I’ll be heading to a local park for some fun in the sun! Tuesday is my actual birthday. I do not know where the time has gone as next year I will be 45!!!! We are planning a day trip to Niagara Falls Ontario for this celebratory day. On Wednesday my best friend and I are heading to a local Cupcakery. This is such a cute shop. Will be enjoying cupcakes and tea. I am looking forward to catching up with her and getting in some quality crochet time. The owner of the shop mentioned that her mother knits here as well. She said she wouldn’t mind if we did as well. On Friday is My Love’s Birthday so that means more fun in store!

I will post pictures of the week as soon as I can!

I posted new pictures last night. They are from the hike I took on 6/1/2014. As promised here is the music video that I was able to be a part of. I appear many times. I have on a grey tie dye shirt, sunglasses and curly hair. I am one of the last people before the screen goes black.
